How can we make Bitcoin resistant to Aliens who have advanced computing technology? I want my Bitcoin to be the money of the future, and I want to be able to pass some of my coins down to my kids, my grandkids, and generations beyond. We talk about the persistence and immutability of the block chain, but what happens if we suddenly encounter some technology (in my hypothetical, via alien contact) that can either trivially execute a 51% attack (maybe they could put together a 99.999999% attack with their advanced computing) or maybe time traveling technology that lets them go back in time, mine a longer chain, and reveal it all of a sudden to wipe lots of the "real" chain?
